Showing my friend around Nagoya ~ Part 1 ~

My friend and I met up in Nagoya for the first time in about three years and showed him around.
I’m good at planning sightseeing tours in Nagoya because I also do it for work.

This time, I planned my destination with the keyword “hideaway” in mind.

First, we went to Tokugawa Garden, which has ties to the Tokugawa family. This was the former residence of the Owari Tokugawa family. The spacious garden changes its appearance with each season. This time, we enjoyed the autumn leaves.

Sozanso is a historic building that was used as a guest house during the 1937 Expo and was relocated here, where you can enjoy a Japanese-style cafe.
We had seasonal Japanese black tea.

The Tokugawa Art Museum is located on the premises. It has a collection of about 10,000 items, including the belongings of Tokugawa Ieyasu and tools used by successive feudal lords. In the spring, there is a Hina Doll Exhibition, which is also a spectacular sight.
